The film plays on the conflict between sensuality and spirituality. Look at the contrasts here: the king is surrounded by wine, women and all the pleasures of life. He lives like kings live – with everything, and everyone, at his beck and call. His friend, however, is a sworn celibate, a Brahmachari. He was a Brahmachari, however, with a chink in his armour, and he fell to the charms of the women – he fell hard.
